Thunderbolts site search feature...

Unread post by davesmith_au » Wed May 06, 2009 8:50 pm

Giday all, just a quick note to let everyone know that the Thunderbolts site now has a "site search" feature. With it you have several different options, search the whole thunderbolts site, search just tpods, just thunderblogs, or just the forum, and search the entire web.

We have used the search facilities of Scroogle.org which is essentially a Google search, but with the '"big brother" aspects removed. What this does is strip the search terms from the returned results, so that prying bosses etc cannot tell what you have searched for. It also uses encrypted code so that anyone intercepting the search just gets garbled guff instead of information. We have done this mainly to protect the privacy of individuals who may not want their employers to know they're searching for electric universe material. Not only that, but Scroogle.org don't append any advertising to their results, as most of the (free) search services do. Cool huh?

You'll notice the new search bar in the right-hand menu on any thunderbolts page. Happy searching!

Cheers, Dave.
