Discoveries that "mystify" mainstream science

Unread post by Roshi » Tue Jan 26, 2016 2:32 am

Mainstream articles about discoveries that "mystify" the standard model:

Study plunges standard Theory of Cosmology into Crisis

Physicists continue work to abolish time as fourth dimension of space

Is the universe expanding faster than the speed of light?

Discovery that quasars don't show time dilation mystifies astronomers

Spooky Alignment of Quasars Across Billions of Light-years

Maybe it wasn't the Higgs particle after all

When space expanded faster-than-light - We can allow mainstream science postulates to stop existing for a few seconds, it was a special moment... Why does it not happen every day if it's a law of physics that "big-bangs" are possible? Who knows, an entire Universe could just pop out of a potato-chip.

Recently, it looks like they want to add a few more ingredients to their recipe for the Universe (besides gravity and inertia), and maybe renounce "dark matter" (finnaly...):

Magnetic field discovery gives clues to galaxy-formation processes

99.9 percent of the Universe is made up of plasma
