I wouldn't give the MSM ANY credit for coming to their senses. Or for being responsible journalists. If they are beginning to show some doubts it's only to provide some cover for themselves when the whole thing collapses. They've been promoting mainstream astrophysics while NOT being good investigative journalists for years and years and years.
