Draw a straight line from Canopus to Sirius in the Winter Triangle (the plumb line). Point the tip of the arrow at Rigel in Orion’s foot to measure “The Deep.” Shoot the arrow just below Rigel to open the vortex or portal located in “the zalos” in Eridanus ‘which flows from the foot of Orion.’ The “old sun”, Saturn, sleeps in Canopus, alpha Carinae, the bright star near the South Pole on an island called Ogygia at the "confluence of the rivers." We live in the Age of the Fifth Sun, the Sun of Movement. Will a “new sun” or the “old sun” (Saturn) be resurrected in 2012? Will it return through the Orion Stargate?
Time is the substance from which I am made. Time is a river which carries me along, but I am the river; it is a tiger that devours me, but I am the tiger; it is a fire that consumes me, but I am the fire.
- Jorge Luis Borges
The Orion Zone
Giorgio Santillana and Hertha Von Dechend in their classic book Hamlet's Mill describe a "whirlpool in the sky" near the constellation Eridanus (or Eridani).
“That there is a whirlpool in the sky is well known; it is most probably the essential one, and it is precisely placed. It is a group of stars so named (zalos) at the foot of Orion, close to Rigel (beta Orionis, Rigel being the Arabic word for ‘foot’), the degree of which was called ‘death,’ according to Hermes Trismegistos, whereas the Maori claim outright that Rigel marked the way to Hades (Castor indicating the primordial homeland). Antiochus the astrologer enumerates the whirl among the stars as Taurus. Franz Boll takes sharp exception to the adequacy of his description, but he concludes that the zalos must, indeed, be Eridanus ‘which flows from the foot of Orion.’” (Giorgio Santillana and Hertha Von Dechend, Hamlet’s Mill: An Essay Investigating the Origins of Human Knowledge and Its Transmission Through Myth (Boston: David R. Godine, Publisher, Inc., 1998, 1969), p. 210)
The whirlpool is an icon used in cultures around the world to signify an interdimensional portal, the transition between worlds, or a gateway between one reality and another. It is the doorway through which the shaman begins his or her ecstatic quest from the physical to the spiritual plane.
The Constellation Eridanus
Eridanus is the 6th largest constellation in the sky. It is part of the constellation family The Heavenly Waters, located between Taurus in the north, Cetus to the northwest, Fornax and Phoenix to the southwest, Hydrus to the south and finally Horologium, Caelum, Lepus and Orion to the east. The river Eridanus is thought to originate near the star Rigel (belongs to the constellation Orion) and ends at its brightest star alpha Eri. Despite of its size there are not many bright stars in this constellation. Notable are alpha Eri, called Achernar (arab.: end of the river), with 0.5 mag the 6th brightest star in the sky, and epsilon Eri, a star similar to our sun, which is just 10.7 light years away.
Eridanus the River
According to the early account of Aratus, Eridanus is a river of tears shed at the death of Phaethon (Saturn?) and lifted to the sky to console Apollo for the death of his son. Conflicting reports claim that its earthly equivalent is the Euphrates or the Nile, though it most likely reflects the economic and social importance of all rivers to our ancestors. Since the constellation is separated into a Northern and Southern 'stream', there have been attempts to recognise both the Nile and Euphrates in it. William Ramesey, for example, called the southern part the River Eridanus, and the northern part the River Nilus.
Eridanus the River
Except for the Alpha Centauri and Sirius systems Epsilon Eridani is the star closest to us at about eleven light years distance. As early as 1973 it was found that this star has a companion with a mass less than 0.05 that of the Sun. Separated from Epsilon Eridani by about the same distance as Saturn is from the Sun, this object may be a large planet or one of the smallest stars known.
In 1998 astronomers reported a ring of dust around Epsilon Eridani that is “strikingly similar” to the inner comet zone in the solar system and shows an “intriguing” bright region that may be particles trapped around a young planet. The research team included astronomers from the Joint Astronomy Center in Hawaii, UCLA and the Royal Observatory in Edinburgh, Scotland.

If you focus on the three stars in the Belt of Orion and follow them southeast, you will find they point to the brightest star in the heavens. If you draw your focus out from the middle star of Orion’s Belt you will find that it points to the reddish star Betelgeuse in one direction and to a bluish star, Rigel, in the other direction. If you are looking at a bluish star, go back to the middle star of Orion’s belt and draw your focus out in the opposite direction until you see the reddish star. Locating Sirius and Betelgeuse gives you two of the three points of the Winter Triangle. The third point, Procyon, is located well to the upper left of Sirius.

After locating and becoming familiar with the Winter Triangle composed of Betelegeuse, Sirius and Procyon, we're now ready to discover the Great Winter Hexagon, another divine design in the winter skies. This heavenly hexagon houses the Winter Triangle with the stars Sirius and Procyon forming points in both of these geometric wonders. The six stars of the Great Winter Hexagon are seen in the map below: Sirius, Rigel, Aldebaran, Capella, Pollux and Procyon.
SIRIUS THE DOG STAR
THE LOST AND MISSING STAR
The Pyramids mirror Orion Constellation: The pyramid positions on the ground are a reflection of the positions of the stars in the constellation Orion circa 10,400 B.C. Five of the 7 brightest stars have pyramid equivalents: The 3 great pyramids of Khufu, Khafra, and Menkaura for the belt of Orion, the pyramid of Nebka at Abu Rawash corresponds to the star Saiph, the pyramid at Zawat al Aryan corresponds to the star Bellatrix. The only two missing star positions are for Betelgeuse and Rigel.
Egyptian pyramid texts ("The Book of the Dead") identify the destination of the soul after death (which they called Duat) with the stars in the northern sky, near the pole star. The circumpolar stars never dip below the horizon at any time of year. The Egyptians called the circumpolar stars the indestructibles, or imperishables.
New Orion Theory
http://2012poleshift.wetpaint.com/page/ ... e+Herschel
A NEW recently revealed pyramid/star correlation theory for Giza can now be proven conclusively. Wayne Herschel - the proponent of the new hypothesis - has just found the remaining missing pyramids that will make his theory conclusive.
It was this prime question that inspired Wayne Herschel to dig deeper. Given the huge distance between the Giza ‘belt’ pyramids and the closest pyramids neighbouring them (in the north Abu Rawash and in the south Zaweyet Al-Aryan), he could not help thinking that completely different stars were at play in this pyramid star map. What if two far more significant stars, namely Sirius and Aldebaran, were to fit here as the correct correlations for these two pyramids?
After all, the ancient Egyptians revered Sirius as very important and the name given to the star Aldebaran was “Ad-Dab-aram”, which means “follower of the Pleiades”. (This is because if one were to follow the line of sight from Orion’s belt through Aldebaran, one’s eye would follow directly to the Pleiades in the night sky).
The transparency was placed over one of the most credible ancient pyramid maps. The result was breathtaking. What emerged was a series of very accurate correlations for the most prominent stars in Taurus. (Orion is located alongside the sacred bull of the ancients…Taurus).
Wayne was perplexed as to why there did not appear to be any correlations for the four important outer stars that comprise Orion.
In an infinitely important breakthrough, it turns out that the star map that emerged from Wayne Herschel’s transparency experiment included very accurately all the brightest stars alongside the Milky Way in one complete 360° revolution..
ORMUS and Pyramids
"The Sothic Triangle, forming the ancient hieroglyph for Sirius (Sothis) was constructed by using a cord 22 units long, with markers at 9 and 13 units from the start. Then, with the cord pulled taut at these markers, and the end meeting the beginning, the triangle denoting sothis was formed as the drawing shows; the base being 4 units wide and each sloping side 9 units from a corner of the base to the vertex, in 4-to-9 proportion (see for example the inscriptions at Abydos)." From the 4/9 ratio can deduce that the vertex angle is 32.727272 degrees or roughly 33 degrees.
Star Bardo in Orion
The so-called Inventory Stele of Khufu, found in the Isis Chapel near Khufu's mortuary temple at Giza in the 1850's, suggests that the "enclosure of Tehuti" is none other than the Great Pyramid complex itself. The stele clearly states that at least the Great Pyramid and the Sphinx were in existence at the time Khufu ascended to the throne.
The "soul star place," which contains the enclosure of Tehuti and its secret chambers, is the Duat on earth through which the King travels as he makes his journey toward re-birth in Re's Boat of a Million Years. Khufu wishes to know its secret so that his horizon, his transition, might truly result in immortality among the imperishable stars.
Tree of Life
A group of German researchers made a convincing argument about the bent pathway in the triangular 1991 Barbury Castle formation. By deciphering a number of formations, they theorized that a message was being given about star patterns in the area of the sky known as the "Winter Hexagon." Further, a triangle was indicated in the stars of Orion, which are within the Winter Hexagon. The top of the triangle is located at the left-most star in Orion's Belt, known as Zeta Orionis. Another star is located near the edge of the imaginary triangle in the sky. The triangle in the sky is at an angle of 19.5 degrees.
The location of the star and the angle of the sky triangle are especially significant for a number of reasons. The research of Richard Hoagland, Robert Bauval, Adrian Gilbert, Graham Hancock, and others indicate that the three great pyramids at Giza represent the stars of Orion's Belt, and that the passageway from the King's chamber pointed to those stars.
Richard Hoagland discovered, incredibly, that all of the Apollo moon landings were precisely timed to the positions of the same stars. Either the Belt Stars of Orion or the Star Sirius were aligned with the horizon or at 19.5 degrees at the exact time of the landings.
The geometry and hyperdimensional mathematics found in the monuments on Mars , according to Hoagland and his associates are related to the Giza Pyramids. One of the conclusions is that an energy exists within planetary spheres, including the sun and stars, by which they are created from another dimension. The energy inside the planetary spheres is shaped like two interlaced tetrahedrons. In a two-dimensional representation, this is like a Star of David inside a circle. One tetrahedron touches the surface of the planetary sphere at the north pole and the other touches at the south pole. Three points of each tetrahedron touch the surface of the planetary sphere at 19.5 degrees north and south.
Does the Golden Spiral Layout of the Pyramids Point to A Black Hole (vortex?) Near Orion?
http://www.light1998.com/OSIRIS/Black-H ... -Orion.htm
After Bauval and Hancock and others determined that indeed the alignment of the pyramid complex pointed to the belt stars of Orion, the obvious and dramatic question became: Why?
Max Toth and Rocky McCollum and others have also shown that the geometry of the pyramids, the Sphinx and other key features on the plateau at Giza created pointers to a clear Golden Mean Spiral layout there. If it is true as Bauval and others have suggested that the pyramids make a glyph of belt stars of Orion, then the next step is clear. Use the pyramids Golden Mean Spiral which the pyramids define on the Giza Plateau, to discover what the map of the pyramids points to in the stars.
By using the pattern recognition from a magnetic layout, we find ourselves not only circling the belt stars of Orion, but literally, our magnetism has been guided directly into the heart of Orion. This is where one of this galactic sectors most significant “event hole” (Vesica Pisces?) gateways is said to be.
Magnetic Vortex in Space
http://www.thunderbolts.info/tpod/2006/ ... vortex.htm
Astronomers say they have discovered a giant magnetic field that is coiled like a snake around a rod-shaped gas cloud in the constellation Orion. Timothy Robishaw, a graduate student at the University of California, Berkeley, involved in the discovery, described the structure as a "giant, magnetic Slinky wrapped around a long, finger-like interstellar cloud."
Ancient Egyptian Mythology
The pyramids were a mirror image, the Earthly representation of the Belt of Orion, the destination of the dead King! They had constructed at Giza an exact replica of the Duat [underworld] destination of the King. Far from being a tomb, the pyramid was the starting point of the King's journey back to the stars from whence he came, back to the First Time.
This harmony of the Sphere is accurate within 3 decimals of each other, and it is also the difference between perfect mathematics (the ones that work theoretically) and the actual mathematics of the universe, 0,014. Sirius is connected to our sun like a neuron, because they have this major mathematical relation in size to each other or harmonic resonance that is likened to holography, a kind of Virtual Neuron Internal Net or as Astronomer Royal, Robert Temple, has dubbed it: "The Anubis Cell".
The Depths of the Sea
http://www.bibliotecapleyades.net/hamle ... mill20.htm
Thus in whichever dialect the phenomenon is spelled out, the fallen ruler of the Golden Age is held to dwell nearest to the celestial South Pole, particularly in Canopus which marks the steering oar of Argo, Canopus at the "confluence of the rivers." This is true whether Varuna fastened the sky to the seat of the Rita (and his own seat), whether Enki-Ea-Enmesharra, dwelling in Eridu, held all the norms and measures (Rita, Sumerian me: Akkadian: parsu)—Thorkild Jacobsen called him very appropriately the "Lord modus operandi" –or whether Kronos-Saturn kept giving "all the measures of the whole creation" to Zeus while he himself slept in Ogygia-the-primeval.
And there is little doubt, in fact none, that Phaethon came to be understood as Saturn.
Here, however, it is not necessary to bring order into the quarters of the Mesopotamian Hades, and for the time being, it suffices that the Lord of the World Order, Enmesharra, is Enki-Ea, because it is known that he dwells "at the seat of Rita": Eridu-Canopus. And since "Enmesharra's chariot" is the vehicle of Auriga, beta zeta Tauri, there can be little doubt that the tradition of Phaethon's fall was already a Sumerian myth.
One of the questions begging answers is, which measures are meant, and how does Saturn accomplish his assignment "to give them continuously" to Jupiter?
And, even if it is accepted that his "seat" is Canopus, how can he possibly give the measures from there? Without pretending to understand the scheme well for the time being, there are some explanations which seem to be the most plausible ones.
So much for Saturn the unalterable planet who glides along his orb. Saturn as the fallen ruler of the Golden Age who retired to Eridu is a much harder proposition.
And this would mean—at least it might mean, because it fits so well into those notions of "time and the rivers" –that expired periods return "home" into timelessness, that they flow into eternity whence they came. Access to the Confluence of the Rivers, Mouth and Source of aeons and eras, the true seat of immortality, has always been denied to any aspect of "time, the moving likeness of eternity."
How much more difficult is it to spot the "steering oar of Argo," Canopus-Eridu, in the childish riddle of Amlethus? And yet, the "measuring of the depth of the sea" is there all the time; infant-Kullervo dared to do it with a ladle, coming to the startling result of "three ladles and a little bit more."
It remains to be seen whether or not all the measuring planets can be recognized by their particular methods of doing the measuring. It is known how Saturn does it, and Jupiter. Jupiter "throws," and Saturn "falls." But, as was said before, Saturn giving the measures as resident in Canopus is hard to imagine. Maybe all the available keys to this door have not been tried? Observing so many characters occupied with measuring the depth of the sea, one stumbles over the strange name given to Canopus by the Arabs: they call it the weight." This "weight" is the plumb at the end of the plumb line, by means of which this depth was measured. But where does Saturn come in? He can be understood as the "living" plumb line. This would be hard to believe if the story of this surveying were not told by the plumb line itself, Phaethon. Only when he told it, he had another name, as belongs to the manners and customs of celestial characters: Hephaistos. To avoid misunderstanding, we do not wish to insist upon the absolute identity of the fall of Phaethon and the account of the fall as told by Hephaistos in the first book of the Iliad. We suspect that the verbal image "Jupiter-hurls-down Saturn" describes the shaping of the Trigon of great conjunctions, not, however, of the Trigon generally but of that new Trigon whose first angle is established by a conjunction of the Big Two at the beginning of a new world-age.
The Wormhole of Daarth
Incredibly enough I have found a stack of evidence that seems to support this bizarre idea. Most of it is taken from the epic work on mythology by De Santillana and Von Dechend, called "Hamlet’s Mill". The theme of the book is that myth is essentially cosmological; that the ancients passed on complex cosmological information in the form of stories about the gods and ancestors. One of the recurring themes is knowledge of the Precession of the Equinoxes. Shakespeare’s Hamlet was based on Scandinavian mythology about Amlodhi, (or Frodhi), who was the owner of a mill. When an enemy killed Hamlet and stole the mill, he put it on a ship, the mill broke, and the ship sank, causing a permanent whirlpool. The massive interweave of evidence is very convincing, even down to the names some cultures still use for the polar stars e.g. Mill-peg and The hole of the Mill peg).
The Babylonian name for Sirius was KAK. SI. Dl., which means "arrow", and the Sumerians, Babylonians, Egyptians, and Chinese all had a constellation built from stars of Argo and Canis Major, which resembled a bow and arrow, in which Sirius was variously either the tip of the arrow or the target.
Nibiru, which Sitchin called "the Planet of the Crossing", means "ferry, ferryman, ford", according to Santillana and Von Dechend. This connects it with the later Greek concept of the dead paying the ferryman to get across the river Styx to meet Cerberus, the three-headed dog. It has been correlated to Jupiter, like Marduk, by various "experts", also to Canopus, the North pole, the summer solstice, but perhaps most significantly, a comet!
Adrian Gilbert claims that the original version of the Styx, was the Milky Way, since the Egyptians believed that Paradise was located in Orion, and that the ritual bringing of a dead body across the Nile for a ceremony in the pyramid, represented the soul’s journey across the Milky Way to Orion. However, Sirius is also implicated here, since the shaft in the King’s Chamber pointed to Orion, but the shaft in the Queens Chamber pointed to Sirius, and it is this shaft that leads to the Secret Chamber.
“The number 30, of the First World, was linked to the Saturnalia. These were festivities linked with the Roman god Saturn, considered to be the ruler of the First World and the Roman counterpart of the Egyptian Ptah and the Greek Chronos. Saturn was also the outermost planet of our visible solar system and as such could be said to ‘measure’ it, the ‘measurer of time’, the chrono-meter.
The Ark of the Second World could be identified with Argo, if only because Argo was a ship, and it had 50 stars, the sacred number of the Second World. Both ages are linked with Sirius, which had also been a measurer of both ages. Sirius was identified with an arrow (perhaps the origin of the symbol of the arrow of time?) and was said to have caused floods. This relates directly to the myth of the salt waters of the abyss, which caused the Deluge. The felling of the tree caused the whirlpool to come into existence. This was labeled the cosmic axis, or the navel of the World.
Legends state that if an arrow was shot into the opening, it caused fire. So when Sirius was measuring the abyss, dropping its arrow into it, it was said to cause fire in the Abyss. But Sirius was not the only star that made this ‘arrow’ that was part of the ‘plumb line’ measuring the Abyss. Its colleague in those tasks was Canopus, which we have already identified with the plumb line, if only in its concept of ‘heavy’. One of the reasons why Sirius and Canopus are deemed to measure the Abyss is because Canopus is situated virtually directly south from Sirius. Visually, a line connecting Sirius and Canopus would thus be considered a ‘plumb line’, with Canopus the weight at the bottom of it.
http://www.bibliotecapleyades.net/hamle ... mill14.htm
Medieval writers, and after them Athanasius Kircher, located the gurges mirabilis, the wondrous eddy, somewhere off the coast of Norway, or of Great Britain. It was generally in the direction north-northwest, just as Saturn's island, Ogygia, had been vaguely placed "beyond" the British Isles by the Greeks.
The "source" is as unrevealing as the "mouth" has been, and as every geographical localization is condemned to be Eridu, which is Canopus, alpha Carinae, the bright star near the South Pole. "The bright southern star Canopus was Ea's town Eridu." And that finally made sense of the imposing configuration of myths around Canopus on the one hand and of the preponderance of the "confluence of the rivers" on the other hand.
The Age of the Fifth Sun
http://www.mexconnect.com/articles/693- ... ple-part-2
The fifth age in which we live, the Sun of Movement, had its origin in Teotihuacan long, long ago. This is why Teotihuacan is called the City of the Gods. It was there that the Gods united to create the Age of Movement. Movement is Ollin. All that exists is in constant movement: rivers and oceans, plants and animals, life itself and the movement of the sun across the sky. This is Ollin, the Sun of Movement, the world we live in today.
