NASA moon capsule running late, full of problems

I pulled a book off the shelf from 1994, a self-published book called:

NASA Mooned America! by Rene

I highly recommend the book (if you could ever find a copy), though I found one error, and there are probably more. That does not detract form much of the material in the book.

Chapter 15 is about radiation.

He is using a book "Astronautical Engineering" to come up with some figures, as well as some other books. I cannot know if the author is quoting figures correctly, or if he knows how to read the data in that engineering book. But here's what he says.

Intermediate solar flares need 18 cm of water to reduce the radiation down to 25 (half a rem per year is the maximum recommended dose for humans. Doses of 300 rems and up and people start dying).

Solar flares that produce protons can give a radiation dose of hundreds of thousands of rem for several hours at the distance of the earth. Death is likely after 500 rems in any short time.

Most of the Apollo missions experienced more than 100 solar flares each, some more than 200. The strength of all those flares varied. But even one serious flare is enough to fry unprotected humans.

NASA's claim (according to the author) is that the space suits can block particles with an energy level of billions of electron volts.

To be honest, I cannot claim to "know" everything needed to know if NASA is playing games with radiation. Maybe the suits CAN protect the astronauts.

But things do look a bit fishy here. The problem is that we need the OTHER side of the argument. One side of an argument always sounds convincing. But my previous post about NASA's press release is suspicious. That press release definitely implies that they do not yet have the means to protect astronauts from radiation. Perhaps the press release was very poorly written, by someone who does not know what they are writing about?

BTW, in the book NASA Mooned America, the author claims (I do not have the book yet) that in the book "Carrying the Fire" by MIchael Collinns, they took a photo of someone in a space suit in a airplane doing a zero-g loop, and then manipulated that photo to produce an astronaout supposedly on a spacewalk. They blacked out the backround, and flipped it around (mirror image). All this for Gemini 10, three years BEFORE Apollo. Very convincing (again, I do not have the book).

I personally am not at all convinced that there is any substantial evidence of a lunar hoax. I am not a Nasa groupie, and I feel that distrust of any government or government agency is a healthy thing.
I keep an open mind, on this issue...as well as UFO's, astrology, and other conspiracy theories. We need to be objective in evaluating evidence as well as counter points.

I have no idea what is going on here, but this is a letter in support of Edgar Mitchell's disclosure last week. Its from a NASA missions specialist and he has quite amazing things to say.....seems unbelieveable. The Space Shuttle quaters look really cramped, but another flight specialist of his said one was in the crew compartment, He must have been bent in half, 9 foot tall alien....

McClelland, former ScO, Space Shuttle Fleet, personally observed an 8 to 9 foot tall ET on my 27 inch video monitors while on duty in the Kennedy Space Center, Launch Control Center (LCC). I think that they are trying to fake us out with a false disclouse, I think they might even want to fake an alien invasion on us.

I think we have only three options.

Don't know if this holds any water because of media manipulation, but Mythbusters proved a high probability of the moon landing not being faked.
They tested whether moonsand would hold a footprint, whether the flag would wave absent a breeze, how a person would move on the moon's surface, etc.
They also went to an observatory and bouced a laser off a reflector supposedly placed on the surface by Apollo 15
