Re: Nuclear bombs on mars
Mars Northern Ocean
In this thread, "Most Thorough Model", at http://www.thunderbolts.info/wp/forum/phpB ... 06#p102099 I discussed an article titled "A Vast Oceanus Borealis May have Once Covered 1/3 of Mars" at http://www.dailygalaxy.com/my_weblog/20 ... -mars.html which apparently shows an image of the Borealis basin as if it were covered with an ocean here: http://www.dailygalaxy.com/.a/6a00d8341 ... 970c-800wi. I wasn't discussing the ocean in that thread, but just what may have caused the Borealis basin. It was apparently formed by a grazing impact by an asteroid with strong electrical effects.
Cydonia
If an ocean existed, Cydonia (about 40 N by 5-20 W) and the Face on Mars are in an area that would have been on or near the shore, perhaps in the ocean (The "twin peaks" would have been in a similar location). I didn't discuss whether the ocean existed in that thread, but Charles did say that the shield volcano area, where the 4 large volcanoes are located on a highland with few craters, appears to have experienced rains and severe water erosion, after the volcanic highland had rifted, forming the Mars canyons nearby. And the article above says the many large blocks in parts of the Borealis basin, like the "Face", appear to have arrived there mostly by underwater avalanches, similar to some in Earth's oceans. A former civilization on Mars is certainly possible, as are remaining bodies of water, although I think they should be frozen. Shouldn't they?
Nuclear Explosions on Mars
Charles explained that fast moving meteors or larger objects that impact a body will produce thermonuclear explosions like an H-bomb, which involves electrical and some magnetic forces. I plan to ask him shortly if such explosions may account for Xenon-129, uranium and thorium found on Mars. He may not know, but he may figure out a probable answer. Formation of craters by electric thermonuclear explosions seems much more probable than by electric discharge machining, as Charles explained in several places, like http://www.thunderbolts.info/wp/forum/phpB ... 1c9#p93143, http://www.thunderbolts.info/wp/forum/phpB ... 105#p76447 and especially http://www.thunderbolts.info/wp/forum/phpB ... 120#p76424. I'm sure he had other discussions of craters too, with further elaboration.

In other words, would I be able to distinguish the column in the image I posted from the basalt columns?Zendo wrote: Would you be able to distinguish these naturally occurring basalt columns from something man made presented just a picture to look at and no knowledge about them a priori?
Yes, and very easily. I mean, yeah, I have problems with my lower back, but my eyesight is still fairly good.
The edges on the column in the image I posted are perfectly straight; the edges of the basalt columns aren't.

Lettering/calligraphy

Letter X with a diacritical mark of some sort. Nature doesn't do straight lines or Bezier curves, and it also doesnt' do lettering on rocks. Electrical discharges don't do lettering either.

Re: Lettering/calligraphy
I am a thorough and supportive fan of finding the obvious oddities on Mars. That said, the opinions of the blossoming Martian Archeologists will and have been widely varied. That stated, photographic archeology is difficult especially without the associated perspective being known. Yes, there are obvious enigmas to everyone with an open mind to the speculative, and no enigmas to the artfully blind or the cautious; neither of which is a derogation of character.
I will freely admit open support for far more speculative hypothetic objects than the small enigmas presented by the Rover photos; as in city hunting or active base hunting via orbiter photos.
I will also freely admit to being a Hoagland-"ite" simply because the subject matter presented by the guy on Martian Archeology is more spot on than it is erroneous. He presents many qualifiable head-scratchers, but has shown show-stoppers in his presentations. Put simply, if he is disinfo then he is the most legitimate disinformation available on most subjects simply because of his broad grasp of physics and other fields that he puts De Grasse Tyson and Kaku to utter shame.
His best show-stopper to date was a orbiter capture of a 99%+(!) reflective glint from the east side edge of the Famous Face near Cydonia reflecting at that rate when the Sun was 3 degrees below the horizon on one of his presentations. It's such a stunner that I wish I burned the photo info in my brain. Hoagland's such a laughable target, and less believable to most people of any caliber because he really isn't putting on an act of any sort that coincides with popular dogma.

Funnel
Amongst the things which Mother Nature doesn't do, are funnels...

Re: Funnel
A lot of what you see in these new images is mechanical junk and debris strewn across the sands. Most of it is easily recognized as non-natural but otherwise anybody's guess as to what exactly. here and there you find something which is easily recognized, as the funnel here.

Again, once in a while you see something in these new Mars images which is easy to recognize.

Another scene of massive destruction with many non-natural items strewn around:

Nature doesn't do rectangular boxes (upper left of image):
Cleaned up a little (converted to greyscale and brightness/contrast adjusted):
Row of orderly stones below is probably remains of some sort of a wall.
Cleaned up:
Letter pie or something, no real clue other than what it ISN'T (natural):

People should get used to the idea that there may yet be living things on Mars...
